Reservation, Cancelation and No-show policy
Rates
All Rates are subject to 15% VAT (Value Added Tax) and 10% Service Charge or at the prevailing rate.
Reservation
A reservation can be made verbally or in writing. The Hotel will reconfirm the reservation in writing and the same will be treated as a “Tentative Booking”. Confirmed booking / reservation is subjected on receiving of one (01) night charge as advance while making a reservation. The cancellation of a reservation or part of the reservation must always be confirmed in writing.
Reservation Value
The definition of “reservation value” is the total amount for the entire reservation as per the original signed contract or last updated reservation value, including conference rooms, hotel rooms, meals, any additional equipment or services ordered, or the total amount for the number of guests/attendees x daily rate.
Reservation, cancellation and No Show during specific periods Cancellation of the Reservation should be furnished in writing at least 15 days before check in date during specific periods such as consecutive government holidays, Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Azha, Christmas, Bengali New Year, Durga Puja, and New Year’s Eve. Cancellation or no show will result in the forfeiture of the prepayment. We also reserve the right to charge for one night’s accommodation per room booked with 15% VAT and 10% Service Charge (or at the prevailing rate) if the cancellation requirements are not met.
Individual Booking (Cancellation)
Any Cancellation should be served at least 24 hours prior to the check in date. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice or No Show will be charged one night’s accommodation per room booked with 15% VAT and 10% Service Charge (or at the prevailing rate). Cancellation and No-Show charges will be charged to the credit/debit card supplied at the time of booking.
No Shows (non-cancelled rooms)
In case of a no show – if a guest does not show up for the hotel room as per the reservation – then one night’s accommodation per room booked with 15% VAT and 10% Service Charge (or at the prevailing rate) will be charged to to the credit/debit card supplied at the time of booking.
Early Departure
All departures prior to date agreed at time of check-in will be subject to one night’s accommodation per room booked with 15% VAT and 10% Service Charge (or at the prevailing rate) which will be charged to the credit/debit card supplied at the time of booking.
Groups/Events from 10 persons and above
Corporate Companies should send their Reservation Request through their respective corporate email.
All bookings should be guaranteed in the following manners
- 50% Advance of the Room Tariff of the entire period of stay by Cash.
- 50% Advance of the Room Tariff of the entire period of stay by Credit Card.
- Advance amount can be deposited in our Bank Account (please ask the Hotel Management for details). After the deposit has been made a scanned copy of the deposit slip should be e-mailed reservation@hotelgrandparkbarisal.com
- Companies can issue a Letter of Payment/Letter of Guarantee in favor of Hotel grand park Barisal which will guarantee the payments of specified services availed by the Guest directly by the Corporate Company Accounts.
Groups/Events from 1 to 10 persons
Cancellation of the reservation or part of the reservation can be made free of charge up until 1 week prior to the first day of arrival. 10% of the last updated reservation value can be cancelled free of charge within 1 week up until 12pm on the day prior to the first day of arrival. Cancellations that exceed 10% of the last updated reservation value will be charged with 75%.
Any other changes or cancellations will be charged with 100% of the value of the change/cancellation. Reservations made within 2 weeks of arrival are 100% binding as of the day following the date of the reservation. Any changes or cancellations will be charged with 100%.
Groups/Events over 10 persons

General Terms and Conditions
Definitions
“Hotel”, “Company” or “we” means Hotel grand park Barisal. “Booking” means the booking for accommodation, functions and/or any other services or items made with us.
“Contract” means the Booking and these Terms, and any other terms and conditions stated to apply to the Booking.
“Terms” means these terms and conditions.
“Websites” means www.hotelgrandparkbarisal.com
“VAT” means value added tax.
Bookings
All Bookings at the Hotel are subject to these Terms. At the time of booking or at check-in, we will take your credit/debit card details and you authorize the use of this card for any sums that become owing to us. We shall also have the right to require full payment in advance or a deposit at the time of booking in certain circumstances or if the Booking includes the supply of certain items or services. No Booking shall be treated as confirmed until the details and/or payment/deposit described in this paragraph have been provided.
Charges
The prices displayed on all forms of media are an average per night per person until a rate is selected. Any meals, service or VAT (at the prevailing rate) are included only if specified. A minimum length of stay, deposit, cancellation charge and other conditions may apply to certain rates, as specified. Once a rate is selected the total for your requested stay shall be displayed on the reservation summary. Prices shall be charged in the local currency of the Hotel and any currency conversion facility is provided as an approximation tool only.
The VAT breakdown shown is indicative based on the current rate of VAT, and the expected VAT treatment of the goods or services. VAT will be payable at the prevailing rate applicable at the tax point of the invoice or Booking confirmation issued, and may change depending on the actual rate and the VAT treatment of the goods and services purchased at that date. Price lists for additional items, such as restaurant meals and room service, are on display at relevant locations within the Hotel and are available on request.
Check-in/ Check-out Requirements
In the interests of security and to prevent fraud, at the time of check-in, guests may be required to confirm their identity by providing their booking reference; their passport/identity card/driving license and a valid credit or debit card which will be swiped in the presence of the card holder. If guests are travelling from outside Bangladesh, we are also obliged by law to require guests to provide the number and place of issue of your passport/identity card and details of their next destination. These records will be kept for at least 12 months and may be disclosed or made available for inspection by any police officer or as otherwise required by applicable law in connection with the prevention or investigation of crime. The information above may be requested for each member of your party over the age of 16 and we reserve the right to refuse entry to persons who cannot provide the information set out above.
Unless otherwise stated on the booking confirmation, Guests may check-in at any time from 2.00 p.m. on the scheduled day of arrival. All rooms that have been secured by credit/debit card or prepaid at the time of booking will he held until 11:59pm on the scheduled day of arrival unless otherwise agreed directly with the Hotel. Any non-secured reservation will be held until 4.00 p.m. on the day of arrival at which time we will be entitled to re-let the room, unless the guest has notified the hotel of a late arrival.
On the day of departure, we kindly ask all guests to vacate their rooms by 12.00 noon (unless a later departure is stated as part of your Booking). Late check-out after this time can be requested subject to availability and will be charged at an hourly rate at the discretion of the Hotel. Rooms are subject to maximum occupancy rules set by the Hotel. If you would like further details, please contact the Hotel.
Parking
There may be a charge to use our car park if limited spaces are available. Spaces may not be available for the duration of your whole stay. Terms and conditions may also apply to car park use. Please contact the Hotel directly for more information. Cars and their contents are left at the owner’s/customer’s own risk. We do not accept responsibility for loss or damage.
Hotel Events
Please be aware that at certain times throughout the Hotel may host weddings, events and parties, which you may feel would be an intrusion on during your stay. Please contact the Hotel directly in advance of your stay for further information.
Guest Behavior
Guests are requested to conduct themselves appropriately at all times and to comply with hotel procedures and/or requests with regard to conduct and respect for the property of the Hotel, its employees and guests and their health and safety. Guests are requested not to disrupt the comfort and enjoyment of other guests, the smooth running of the Hotel, or cause offence to other guests or our members of staff. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or services or remove you and members of your party from the Hotel if, in our reasonable opinion, we consider this provision to have been breached. Where this is the case, we shall have no obligation to refund you for lost accommodation, other services or any other loss or expense incurred.
Drugs and Firearms
You may not bring, use, or be under the influence of illegal drugs in any part of the Hotel. Intoxicated guests will be refused entry to the Hotel. Firearms, ammunitions, knives or any form of weapons are strictly prohibited within the Hotel.
Foods & Beverages from outside
For health and safety reasons the Hotel does permit any Food or Beverage from external providers/sources.
Safety and Security
The Hotel operates a Zero Tolerance Policy in terms of Safety and Security issues and all guests must follow rules and procedures as set out by the Hotel Management.
On call Doctor
On call medical assistance will be available 24/7.
Smoking policy
We have dedicated Smoking & Non-Smoking Rooms. Please specify your preference during the Reservation. Any damage resulting from deodorizing the property or other smoke related maintenance shall be the financial responsibility of the occupant of the room; this includes but is not limited to false alarms with the Fire and Police Departments and any associated lost revenue.
Children All children
Children All children (a person under 16 years of age) staying at the Hotel must be accompanied by an adult and must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Pets
Guide dogs are accepted with prior arrangement but otherwise no pets are allowed at the Hotel.
Personal Information
Telephone calls may be recorded from time to time to help us improve the service we offer you. All personal information stored and used by us is done so in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Visitor and Guest Policy
The following policy is in place for the safety and comfort of all Residents of Hotel grand park Barisal and its Guests. Both Resident and Guest must read and fully understand this Policy before being signed in.
- Both the Guest and the Resident must leave photo ID and both must sign in. We reserve the right to copy all identifications given and store for our records.
- The Hotel Management has the absolute discretion to refuse entry to any Guest and the right to remove any Guest without notice.
- All Guests must be met by the Resident and signed in at Reception
- A maximum of 2 (two) Guests are only permitted to be signed in by a Resident.
- No guests under 16 years of age are permitted.
- Guest sign in after 11pm will be at Management’s discretion.
- Guests are strictly prohibited to stay overnight.
- The Guest will be issued with a Guest pass which they must keep on them at all times. Both Guest and Resident must return to Reception to return the Guest pass and retrieve ID.
- The Resident must remain with the Guest at all times in all areas of the Hotel. Residents found not with their Guests will receive a written warning; further breaches of this Policy could result in termination of their Booking.
- Guests found not with the Resident signed in will be escorted from the building and will receive a permanent ban from entering the building. Any further re-entry will be treated as trespass.
- Guests are permitted to use the Hotel communal areas at Management’s discretion but we expect you not to behave in a manner that could be considered disrespectful to Residents, guests or staff. Guests must not loiter in these areas; this includes all public areas. Guests found loitering will be asked to leave the Hotel.
- The Resident is responsible for the conduct and behavior of their Guest and to the adherence of all Hotel rules and regulations. Failure to follow the rules by either the Guest or Resident will affect the Resident’s Booking status within the Hotel and the Guest will be prohibited from returning to the Hotel.
- Abusive or aggressive behaviors by either Resident or Guest will not be tolerated. These behaviors will result in the Guest being permanently banned from the Hotel and the Resident faces termination of their Booking.
- Force Majeure The Company accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.
- Limitation of Liability The Company will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any property left in the Hotel. The Company will not be liable for any indirect, consequential or pure economic loss or any loss of profit, goodwill or opportunity (whether caused by the negligence of the Company, its employees, contractor or agents or otherwise). The Company’s total liability shall not exceed the value of the charges received by it under the Contract.
- Governing Law and Jurisdiction The Contract and any non-contractual obligations arising in connection with it are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. The Bangladeshi courts have exclusive jurisdiction to determine any dispute arising in connection with the Contract, including disputes relating to any non-contractual obligations.
- Web Site Information While all reasonable efforts have been taken to ensure the accuracy of information on our Website, the Company does not accept responsibility for errors or omissions and reserve the right to amend, cancel or vary any of the arrangements featured on the Website without notice. Please note that in certain circumstances, generic photographic images have been used to represent the general style of a particular product or Hotel room and/or amenity.
